Serving schools and communities in Pennsylvania/ 1998-2007
June 30, 2007
We are sad to inform you that the Pennsylvania Service-Learning Alliance (PSLA) will be closing up shop on June 30. After nine years of serving Pennsylvania educational programs, the time has come and our staff is moving on. Sarah John will be moving to Vail, Colorado, and Margit Myers will be joining the Peace Corps. You will continue to see Faith Goldstein’s friendly face around Philadelphia. Grantees’ Pennsylvania Department of Education program officers will remain the main contacts. The Center for Schools and Communities, located in Camp Hill, PA, will continue to provide training and technical assistance for Pennsylvania Learn and Serve and 21st Century Community Learning Center grantees (under the auspices of the 21st CCLC STAT Center). The Center for Schools and Communities website is http://www.center-school.org and the Pennsylvania 21st CCLC STAT Center website is http://www.21stcclc.org.
It has given us great pleasure to work with many of you over the years. We have learned so much from everyone, and have been very inspired by your dedication and passion. PSLA’s website will be up for another year, so we welcome you to use our resources!
Thank you, have a wonderful summer, and best of luck in the coming years!
Faith Goldstein, Sarah John and Margit Myers
